About the wine

Tasting notes

A beautifully dense and savoury vintage of Lloyd Shiraz showing mulberry, blackberry, sweet spice and soy. A plush and full entry that continues with unfurling layers of tannin. The tannins are fine and long giving great persistence and presence. The palate is full bodied but elegant with some dark floral notes, berries and a subtle ferrous note and will reward those with patience over the next 10-15 years.

Shiraz or Syrah

Shiraz, or Syrah, is one of the most loved, rich and powerful red wine varieties made famous for its mineral and structured expressions from the Rhône in France and the rich and decadent fruity expressions from the Barossa Valley in Australia. Full bodied, rich in antioxidants and generously fruity, Shiraz sits proudly on the table for those that like their wine big and bold. Think violets, blackberries, plum, chocolate, pepper, black olive, liquorice, rosemary, tobacco and spice...i'm thirsty already!
