About the wine

Tasting notes

Very deep red colour in the glass. This is a typical Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon with loads of dark fruit and dried herbs on the nose, with hints of dark peppermint chocolate. The palate is full of soft dark fruits and tight tannins which indicates that this wine has a long life ahead.

The Grape

Cabernet Sauvignon

A red grape variety that is responsible for the most expensive wines on the planet...some fetching over $100, 000 per bottle!!! It is also the worlds most popular style of wine and produces age worthy and concentrated expressions that show notes of potpourri, cassis, black cherry, blackberry, mulberry, raspberry, leafy herbals, green pepper, baking spices, charcoal, graphite and cedar. Most famous for the first growth wines from the Left Bank in Bordeaux, Cabernet Sauvignon is often used as a primary variety for red blends designed to last decades and is a must have style for any serious collector.
