Vinification: 34 mths in new & seasoned French Oak hogsheads. Vintage Conditions: In 2019, exceptional winter rainfall gave us a full soil moisture profiles and budburst occurred on par with long term averages with very solid early shoot growth. Mid December through to the early March was extremely dry with virtually no rainfall. This is immediately appealing on the nose showing blackberry, mixed spice, olive and cedar aromas, leading to a concentrated palate delivering terrific fruit intensity with velvety texture and fine grainy tannins. Wonderfully composed and structured with a persistent satisfying finish.
Shiraz, or Syrah, is one of the most loved, rich and powerful red wine varieties made famous for its mineral and structured expressions from the Rhône in France and the rich and decadent fruity expressions from the Barossa Valley in Australia. Full bodied, rich in antioxidants and generously fruity, Shiraz sits proudly on the table for those that like their wine big and bold. Think violets, blackberries, plum, chocolate, pepper, black olive, liquorice, rosemary, tobacco and spice...i'm thirsty already!
