2019 Francois Lumpp Givry 1er Cru Petit Marole Rouge

BurgundyRedHighly RecommendInternationalPrivate Cellar

$ 120.00 AUD

François Lumpp is, without hesitation, the best producer in Givry. Givry is a small, somewhat overlooked appellation of Burgundy that offers high quality wines with incredible value. If François Lumpp were based in the Côte d’Or as opposed to Givry, the wines would sell at twice the price.

Expert review

Here too the expressive nose is quite fresh with its nose of essence of plum, cassis, spice and a very subtle hint of wood. The suave, round and seductively textured medium-bodied flavors conclude in a sappy, long and relatively powerful bitter cherry pit-inflected finish. At least some patience will be necessary
