The Dimchurch Shiraz is the more archetypal Barossa Shiraz from the Hoffmann Vineyard portfolio. We describe this as the more fruit forward of our Hoffmann/Dimchurch project, with 3-4 years of barrel maturation, it is necessary to have the wine decanted for at least 6 hours before its depth becomes evident.

Pencil shavings, date, prune and licorice notes abound. There's awesome Christmas spice flavors and layers of fruitcake in this massive, full-bodied wine that definitely won't be for everyone, but it represents one unique style of Barossa Shiraz.

Shiraz, or Syrah, is one of the most loved, rich and powerful red wine varieties made famous for its mineral and structured expressions from the Rhône in France and the rich and decadent fruity expressions from the Barossa Valley in Australia. Full bodied, rich in antioxidants and generously fruity, Shiraz sits proudly on the table for those that like their wine big and bold. Think violets, blackberries, plum, chocolate, pepper, black olive, liquorice, rosemary, tobacco and spice...i'm thirsty already!
