2024 Whistler Yonda Riesling

Rex Craker, long time family friend of the Pfeiffers and Whistler's biggest Riesling customer, sadly passed away in 2021. Now, namesake Rex the peacock and his girlfriend Priscilla, spend most of their time down at the winery, so be sure to keep an eye out for the 2 birds next time you visit. The compass shows that the fruit is now sourced to the north east of our property in Light Pass, which for us, is out Yonda!Grown by the 6th generation Scholz family on the sand belt of Light Pass.Harvested in the cool of the night and pressed away from the skins straight away. This wine was fermented in a stainless steel tank at 12 degrees before filtering and bottling in April 2022. The native yeast found in the vineyard carried out the fermentation, which creates a wine with more complexity and layers. No fining agents were used to make this wine, meaning that this wine is Vegan friendly.
