Domaine Chanson is one of the great historic producers in Burgundy. Founded in 1750, they are one of only six producers in the region still remaining from the 18th century and earlier, purchased by Family Champagne Group Societé Jacques Bollinger in 1999 and has been dramatically restored to be one of Burgundy’s top estates.Requiring diligent viticulture and perfect ripeness, they vinify all whites and reds 100% whole cluster at their state of the art facility on the outskirts of Beaune. They use Champagne-style fractional pressing to gently extract the juice, and then age wines in barrel, with no more than 30% new oak for the reds and 20% new oak for the whites.

Golden with pristine aromas of white florals, orange blossom, orange leaning citrus, ripe peach and a hint of exotic fruit. In the mouth it's delicate but intensely flavoured with a core of fruit, complex spice and a spine of minerality. Stunning!
One of the most planted, versatile and popular white varieties in the world. As a stand alone grape, Chardonnay is not the most interesting, nor complex varietal out there...but in the hands of a great winemaker it can be turned into one of the world's greatest pleasures! From the best bubbles of Champagne, to the lean, unoaked and mineral expressions of Chablis and the opulent, oaked and complex whites of Burgundy, Chardonnay is responsible for making some of the greatest expressions of white wine on the planet.
