Tasting notes

Dark purple with a beautifully neon rim and a perfumed, interestingly spiced nose of violets, dark rose, hints of olive, fig leaf, sweet cocoa, caraway, raspberry jam and deep purple fruits.In the mouth it’s smooth, beautifully balanced and very deep in flavour! Licorice, dark cherry, vanilla bean, hints of chocolate and the most meaty expressions of dark berries, with a hint of red, move with an underlying savouriness across the palate at a slow and powerful pace. Fine lush tannins follow the fruit into the midpalate and give a gentle tug of tension, while perfectly matched acidity quietly carries the rich fruit and lightens the load towards the backend. It ends much lighter than it started and drifts over a long tail of sweet fennel and blackcurrant.
