Comando G’s Daniel Landi and Fernando Garcia craft Garnacha up in the near inaccessible hills of the Sierra de Gredos mountains. The 2021 El Reventón is the one wine from the village of Cebreros on slate soils. A cooler vintage allowed for wonderful freshness and acidity.

A wonderfully layered nose of white pepper, red and black fruit, wild berries, roasted grapefruit, agave and stones. In the mouth it's ethereal, structured with firm tannins and pure with impressive length, earthy complexities and luscious fruit. Comparable to a high-end Burgundy!!

A herbal and peppery twist from this very cold year. This has some more meaty notes, more iron, but no heat or Mediterranean grapes. It's a narrower, more mineral expression of El Reventón, very balanced with an unnoticeable 15% alcohol, which meant full development of aromas and flavors in the grapes that were infused into the wine. This has to be the most elegant and precise year of El Reventón to date. In this cold vintage, it's ethereal, a little wider but getting close to the style of Las Iruelas...
Grenache, (or Garnacha), is one of the most important red grape varieties in the world and is responsible for some of the most expensive and collected wines out there. It's the key variety for making elegant Châteauneuf-du-Pape and rich GSM's, but is brilliant as a stand alone variety and makes wines with a medium body, but intense and often spicy flavours of deep red fruits, black cherry, charred plum, leather, blood orange, dried herbals and cinnamon. From crisp and crunchy, to velvety and rich, this versatile grape is awesome!
