About the wine

Tasting notes

The Bendito Destino La Cabaña 2021 showcases impeccable tannin management, with finely integrated black tea and red currant notes, hints of smoked meats, and a dash of licorice adding depth. This is an elegant, refined wine with outstanding tension that hints at its aging potential, though it’s already beautifully expressive now. The texture is both silky and taut, with a layered tannic structure that leads to a long, graceful finish. This fine balance of power and finesse promises further complexity over time, rewarding those who choose to let it mature.

Expert review

Clear ruby and crimson in the glass with a nose of wilting violets and cherry blossoms, peppered red and black fruits, red plum, hints of blood orange, fruity black olives, high grade black tea, smoky blonde tobacco, charcuterie with liver parfait, and some truffled earth. In the mouth it’s wonderfully balanced, elegant and finely detailed with a Burgundian charm. It floods the palate with silky, floral-led flavours that echo the nose, along with creamy vanilla and savoury herbals, while mineral edged acidity, drying chalky tannins and a seam of crushed stone minerality brings texture and tension. It’s in perfect harmony and feels complete. It ends over a reaching tail that’s a little ferrous and holds with more florals and gentle smoky tobacco. Gees this is a lovely, lovely wine!
