Region
The Rhone is divided into 2 subregions, the Northern Rhone and the Southern Rhone. The cooler Northern Rhone is most famous for its fine wines made from Syrah, Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne, whereas the warmer Souther Rhone is most famous for lush, juicy and generous wines made from Grenache Noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne and Clairette. The wines of the Rhone are truly beautiful, structured, rich and generous.
