Chablis

Chablis is a renowned cool-climate wine region located in the northern part of Burgundy (France) and produces world-class wines made from Chardonnay that have crisp acidity, minerality, and vibrant citrus flavours. The region's terroir and Kimmeridgian limestone soils imparts a flinty and chalky quality to the wines, creating a profile that sets Chablis apart from other Chardonnays. The wines are categorized into four main appellations, each with its own characteristics: Petit Chablis, Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru, and Chablis Grand Cru. The Grand Cru vineyards, including names like Les Clos and Vaudésir, produce some of the most prestigious and age-worthy Chablis wines.
