About the wine

Tasting notes

A bit of a ‘Médoc’ blend this year, with 85% Cabernet Sauvignon,12% Merlot, 2% Malbec, and 1% Cabernet Franc. Bright red fruits, red currant, plum, bay leaf and cedar. Soft, medium bodied with plush ripeness on the palate. Lengthy juiciness that finishes dry with a hint of blackberry.

The Grape

Cabernet Sauvignon

A red grape variety that is responsible for the most expensive wines on the planet...some fetching over $100, 000 per bottle!!! It is also the worlds most popular style of wine and produces age worthy and concentrated expressions that show notes of potpourri, cassis, black cherry, blackberry, mulberry, raspberry, leafy herbals, green pepper, baking spices, charcoal, graphite and cedar. Most famous for the first growth wines from the Left Bank in Bordeaux, Cabernet Sauvignon is often used as a primary variety for red blends designed to last decades and is a must have style for any serious collector.
