Monchiero owns vineyards in some of the region's most prestigious Cru's and is one of the very few best kept secrets of Piedmont!The wines from this exceptional producer are some of the best and always have incredible balance, purity of fruit, complexity and elegance.The Rocche di Castiglione comes from a cru in Castiglione Falletto in the heart of the Barolo region. The grapes grow in the vineyard located to the south east which produce a wine with a fine, prominent bouquet, elegance and texture.

About the wine
Tasting notes
Highly perfumed with dried rose, deep red fruits, cherry, orange zest, fennel, black tea and spice. In the mouth it's incredibly elegant, complex and deeply flavoured with a serious seam of stony minerality, integrated tannins and lovely balance. Approachable now but will last in the cellar. A beautiful release!

The regions of Barbaresco and Barolo, in Piedmont, Italy, create the most revered expressions of the variety and have set the benchmarks for the world over. Nebbiolo is quite light in colour, dry and delicate but packs a punch in aroma and flavour with notes of rose, tar, cherry, red berries, blood orange, licorice, leather, terracotta and earthy herbals. These wines have high acidity and high tannins, making them extremely age worthy that deepen in complexity over decades. Simply stunning wines!
