Dark brooding ruby with a purple hue and a lifted and pretty nose of sweet pink/red florals, ripe blackberry, cassis and raspberry licorice, glacé cherry, sweet spice, white pepper and clean earth. A touch simplistic, but not to its detriment. In the mouth it’s rich, clean and juicy, with a medium body that crashes with lush flavours of black, blue and red berries, raspberry jam, juicy cherry and a hum of sweet n sharp red apple skin. It’s incredibly fresh and crunchy, finely structured and textured with playful spindly tannins, bringing nice tension and tightness to the fruit. Brightly lit with acidity and coloured with vanilla and spice, this drinks so well and over delivers for its price point. A delicious Shiraz.
