A classic vintage of mine of the world's great Champagne's, the Comte from Taittinger! Cool, pristine and incredibly complex, this is a stunning release that's drinking well already, but will develop beautifully for several decades yet.

A bouquet that's compellingly fresh and minty, revealing aromas of white fruit—notably pear and apple—marzipan and sweet spices, as well as a light touch of citrus mingled with classy autolytic notes. On the palate, this is a structured, tensile and ethereal Champagne with high acidity (sign of a classic vintage) and is animated by a mousse of striking finesse and delicacy.

French for “white of whites”, Blanc de Blancs is a sparkling wine made entirely from Chardonnay grapes. Made famous in Champagne, these wines have an incredible purity and linearity about them and express with intense lemon and apple-like fruit flavours, usually with an underlying seam of minerality and precise acidity.
