Very supple and stylish – more of a contemporary Hunter shiraz – with a spicy, peppery fragrance of sweet cassis, raspberries and redcurrants tightly knit with cedar/vanilla oak and backed by nuances of game meats. It’s medium to full-bodied, with a plush, luscious presence of juicy flavour underpinned by fine, powdery tannins. Likely to build weight and concentration, it’s long and elegant, finishing with delightful persistence of flavour.

Shiraz, or Syrah, is one of the most loved, rich and powerful red wine varieties made famous for its mineral and structured expressions from the Rhône in France and the rich and decadent fruity expressions from the Barossa Valley in Australia. Full bodied, rich in antioxidants and generously fruity, Shiraz sits proudly on the table for those that like their wine big and bold. Think violets, blackberries, plum, chocolate, pepper, black olive, liquorice, rosemary, tobacco and spice...i'm thirsty already!
