Amarone is arguably the richest, densest and most powerful wine in the world, a veritable show stopper and without rival. Romano Dal Forno is known as Veneto’s ‘Grape King’, the vanguard of modern Amarone.Dal Forno’s Amarone is a radical reinvention of one of Italy’s most famous wines. It is impenitent, intoxicating and a provoking wine. Dal Forno uses extremely low yields and an austere selection process admitting only the most exceptional grapes. Aged and looking incredible now, this is a stunning Amarone from the world's greatest producer of the style. Impenetrable dark ruby with dense fruit, rose petal, blackberry, sugared walnut and hints of sea salt. In the mouth it's a train of bittersweet chocolate, cloves, violets, plums and blackberry jam that ignites every inch of the palate. Succulent acidity, muscular tannins, incredibly long and majestically balanced...this is incredible!

Amarone, or Amarone della Valpolicella, is an Italian red blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes that are late harvested and left to dry into raisins. These wines are extremely age worthy and can be very expensive, representing the very best reds made in Italy. Expect density of fruit, backed by good acidity, plenty of body and intense aromas and flavours of cherry liqueur, dried fig, chocolate, cinnamon, mint, plum and crushed gravel. Wonderful wines!
