2020 Didier Dagueneau Buisson Renard

The Buisson Renard release is made from grapes with a cool, mid-slope terroir on the southwest side of the Saint-Andelain slope. The soils are a mixture of clay and flint, imparting richness and mineral complexity and depth. This was barrel fermented and aged in Dagueneau’s bespoke, cigar-shaped barrels (450 and 600 litres) which are designed to increase lees contact.

Richly aromatic with distinctive lime, elderflower, ginger and honeysuckle aromas. Plenty of tension, masses of concentration and curves in the right places with a wildly long finish! Incredible and worthy of long-term cellaring.
