About the wine

Tasting notes

Totally pitch black at its core with an equally deep dark purple black hue. Intense and heady aromas of ripe blackberry, black cherry, liquorice and dark chocolate followed by vanillin oak, hints of earth, fennel and spice. in the mouth it's incredibly rich and decadent, yet firmly structured with concentrated flavours that echo the nose, along with savoury herbs, mocha and complex spice. Muscular tannins, deep minerality and endless intensity makes this a beast that is destined to age for decades.

The Grape

Shiraz or Syrah

Shiraz, or Syrah, is one of the most loved, rich and powerful red wine varieties made famous for its mineral and structured expressions from the Rhône in France and the rich and decadent fruity expressions from the Barossa Valley in Australia. Full bodied, rich in antioxidants and generously fruity, Shiraz sits proudly on the table for those that like their wine big and bold. Think violets, blackberries, plum, chocolate, pepper, black olive, liquorice, rosemary, tobacco and spice...i'm thirsty already!
