Expert review

Ruby with a purple hue and a perfumed nose of pretty florals, plum, dark berries, hints of quince, black olive and savoury, peppery and ever so slightly smoky charcuterie. There’s almost truffle-like earthiness (‘sous-bois’) sitting in the background that is captivating. In the mouth it’s finely layered, medium bodied and juicy with lush red, purple and black fruits, plum, beetroot and complex spice that holds and broadens across the palate. A swell of curvaceous pear/stonefruit-like roundness and richness swells underneath, adding body and a touch of warmth, while good natural acidity flows effortlessly, giving balance and vibrancy. It's long, seductively textured and bloody delicious!
