About the wine

Tasting notes

Aromas of wilted roses, star anise, mossy tree bark, and kirsch, leading to a core of blackcurrant pastille and stewed black plums. The full-bodied palate has a rock-solid structure of firm, grainy tannins and lively acidity supporting the densely packed, muscular black fruit, finishing incredibly long and with a spicy lift.

The Grape

Bordeaux Blend

Bordeaux Blends are made up of a combination of traditional grapes found in the region of Bordeaux. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are the dominant varieties used in these blends, but you'll also find Petit Verdot, Malbec, Carménère and other supporting grapes. The firm, structured and tannic Left Bank Bordeaux reds are typically Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, whereas the more juicy, lush and approachable Right Bank Bordeaux reds have Merlot as their primary grape. These wines are some of the world's greatest expressions and have been made to last decades!
