About the wine

Tasting notes

Red and black licorice, leather, violets, blackberries, plums and cranberry. Has a gorgeous spicy leathery character on both the nose and palate. Flavour- and weight-wise this is 100 percent true to the St Henri mould. The archetypal medium-bodied Aussie red. Fine, deceptively assertive, salty, seedy tannin plays a key role. This will mature well but, unusually, it will drink well and give up quite a lot as a young wine. Clean, classic, classy finish.

Shiraz or Syrah

Shiraz, or Syrah, is one of the most loved, rich and powerful red wine varieties made famous for its mineral and structured expressions from the Rhône in France and the rich and decadent fruity expressions from the Barossa Valley in Australia. Full bodied, rich in antioxidants and generously fruity, Shiraz sits proudly on the table for those that like their wine big and bold. Think violets, blackberries, plum, chocolate, pepper, black olive, liquorice, rosemary, tobacco and spice...i'm thirsty already!
